Proteas legend Herschelle Gibbs will make his return to cricket in a club game for Pinelands Cricket Club on Saturday.
According to clubcricket.co.za, the 43-year-old will play in a Western Province Cricket Association first division B fixture against Hottentots Holland Cricket Club.
Gibbs took to Twitter to confirm his participation.

Gibbs’ last competitive game came in February 2016, when he represented the Leo Lions in the Masters Champions League. After retiring from international cricket in March 2010 and domestic cricket in November 2011, Gibbs had a stint in the CPL for St Lucia Zouks in 2013.
He recently was appointed as head coach of the Speenghar Tigers in the Shpageeza Cricket League (SCL), Afghanistan’s premier Twenty20 tournament.
