Under-fire Proteas captain Faf du Plessis padded away talk of an earlier than expected retirement from the national team on Monday.
After watching his side’s dismal showing in Port Elizabeth, Du Plessis was quizzed about the increasing speculation that he would walk away from the team after the current Test series.
Du Plessis remains defiant that he will press forward until after the conclusion of the T20 World Cup later this year.
“I’ve heard the rumours, but I’ve been pretty clear and consistent with my message…”
South Africa captain Faf du Plessis is asked about his possible retirement from Test cricket.
