Faf du Plessis was in top form for the Perth Scorchers in their BBL match against the Melbourne Stars on Friday.
The former Proteas captain smashed 68 off 33 balls, including six fours and five sixes, in Melbourne.
In the ninth over of the innings, Du Plessis scored 21 off the bowling of Nathan Coulter-Nile.
He was eventually dismissed in the 10th over when caught at deep square leg while attempting a pull shot off Luke Wood.

The 38-year-old is available for the first seven games of the BBL. He will then return to South Africa to captain the Joburg Super Kings in the inaugural SA20 league, which starts on 10 January.
