Dean Elgar’s brilliant catch to dismiss Australia captain Tim Paine at the Wanderers is our Play of the Day.
Paine was on 69 and Australia 221-9 when he tried to slap a short ball from Kagiso Rabada over mid-wicket, only to slice it.
Elgar, who was fielding at mid-off, sprinted back 10m all the while looking over his shoulder to see where the ball was, and then dived full-length to take the catch.
It was Elgar’s 50th catch in Test cricket, making him the fourth South African to reach the mark.
