Rilee Rossouw has been ruled out of the Tri-Nation series after injuring his shoulder during the match against Australia on Tuesday evening.
Rossouw left the field in discomfort after an awkward dive on the boundary and was immediately taken to the hospital for scans.
Proteas team manager Dr Mohammed Moosajee said: ‘X-rays which confirmed he had dislocated the AC joint of his right shoulder. He will be unable to take further part in this series and will return to South Africa as soon as possible. The extent of the injury and the recovery period will only be known once he has been assessed and managed by one of Cricket South Africa’s panel of shoulder specialists.’
Titans batsman Dean Elgar has been called-up as the replacement and will join up with the squad as soon as possible.
