Durban’s Super Giants beat MI Cape Town by five wickets in Friday’s SA20 match at Newlands.
The visitors reached their target of 153 with 3.3 overs to spare to bounce back from an opening-round home defeat to the Joburg Super Kings.
West Indian Kyle Mayers gave the Super Giants the perfect start when he bowled Dewald Brevis for a duck with a brilliant in-swinging delivery.

Rassie van der Dussen (one) and Sam Curran (nought) also went cheaply, before Grant Roelofsen (52 off 44 balls) and George Linde (33 off 25) got the innings back on track.
Delano Potgieter then hit 25 off 11, including three sixes, to get MI Cape Town to 152-8.

The Super Giants made a solid start to their run chase before Quinton de Kock was caught by Potgieter off the bowling of Olly Stone for 11.
Opener Mayers went on to make 34 off 23 deliveries, while Wiaan Mulder (30 off 26) and Heinrich Klaasen (36 off 22) ensured the required run rate stayed under control.
Stone gave the hosts hope when he dismissed Klaasen, caught brilliantly by Ryan Rickelton, and then removed Mulder and Dwaine Pretorius in successive deliveries.
