The Durban Heat have teamed up with a flexible shuttle service, Zeelo, to create a more convenient fan experience for the Mzansi Super League that starts on Friday.
The Heat have partnered with an international shuttle service that has taken off throughout the United Kingdom.
The Sharks shared a similar shuttle partnership during their 2018 Super Rugby campaign and the relationship thrived, with many supporters using the service that collects and returns fans to various points around the greater Durban region.
The collection points include many major hubs, from Umhlanga to Chatsworth, Phoenix and Durban North.
‘We are delighted to announce this exciting partnership for the upcoming Mzansi Super League,’ said KZN Cricket CEO Heinrich Strydom.
‘To be able to offer fans an easier alternative to driving themselves to and from the match is a huge plus for us. It’s a great idea and we have seen how successful it has been overseas and with the Sharks here in Durban,’ he added.
The coach service is still in its growth phase in South Africa and is focusing on the KwaZulu-Natal sporting landscape.
‘We are always looking for new opportunities and this was a great chance for us,’ said James Champion, the general manager of Zeelo South Africa.
‘It’s no secret that cricket needs some innovation to help get bums back on seats and we believe that our service can help in achieving that.’
