JP Duminy has been appointed as the full-time batting coach of the Proteas white-ball teams.
The 38-year-old recently coached the Paarl Royals in the SA20 league and was also head coach of the Boland Rocks provincial team.
Duminy earned a combined 280 limited-overs caps for the Proteas during his playing career, and is the third-leading run-scorer in T20Is for South Africa.
Former Proteas all-rounder Rory Kleinveldt will be the Proteas bowling coach for the ODI and T20I series against the West Indies, with Lions head coach Wandile Gwavu taking charge of the fielding.
The permanent bowling and fielding coaches will be announced at a later date.
