• Du Plessis takes 2023 IPL run tally past 500

    Faf du Plessis delivered again for the Royal Challengers Bangalore on Saturday.

    The RCB captain scored 45 off 32 balls against the Delhi Capitals to take his tally for this year’s IPL past the 500 mark.

    He helped put on 82 runs for the first wicket in 10.3 overs with Virat Kohli (55 off 46 balls) before being caught at deep cover off the bowling of Mitchell Marsh.

    Du Plessis is the leading run-scorer in this year’s tournament, with 511 in 10 matches at an average of 56.77 and a strike rate of 157.71.
