The North West Dragons thrashed the Free State Knights by eight wickets in their T20 Challenge match at St George’s Park on Thursday.
The Dragons restricted the Knights to a woeful 94-9 with spinners Senuran Muthusamy (2-8 in four overs) and Johannes Diseko (2-19 in four) causing the most damage.
Fast bowler Duan Jansen, the twin brother of Proteas paceman Marco, also picked up a wicket while conceding just 16 runs in his four overs.
Opener Patrick Kruger (20) top-scored for the Knights with only two other batsmen reaching double figures.
The Dragons needed just 10.1 overs to reach the target, with Wesley Marshall hitting 43 off 29 (five fours, two sixes) and Heino Kuhn an unbeaten 30 off 20 (five fours).
