Quinton de Kock and David Miller will play for the Barbados Royals in this year’s Caribbean Premier League.
The big-hitting Proteas batsmen are among 12 South Africans who will feature in the six-team T20 tournament from 30 August to 30 September.
Northerns Titans all-rounder Corbin Bosch has also been picked up by the Royals.
“Quinton is a proven match-winner who has delivered for both his country and all the franchises he’s played for around the world, and we are delighted that he’s chosen the Royals as the team to start his CPL journey at,” said Royals coach Trevor Penney.
“On the other hand, having worked closely with David Miller and Corbin Bosch at the Rajasthan Royals [in the IPL], we know exactly what they bring to the table and, at the same time, they also understand the philosophy of the Royals perfectly.”
Meanwhile, former Proteas captain Faf du Plessis will return to the Saint Lucia Kings, who he captained to their second successive CPL final last year, and be joined by ex-Proteas all-rounder David Wiese, who is now playing for Namibia.
SA U19 star Dewald Brevis and Proteas all-rounder Dwaine Pretorius will represent the St Kitts & Nevis Patriots, the reigning CPL champions, while the Jamaica Tallawahs have signed Free State Knights bowler Migael Pretorius.
Proteas spinner Tabraiz Shamsi, wicketkeeper-batsman Heinrich Klaasen, batsman Colin Ingram and former Proteas spinner Imran Tahir will all turn out for the Guyana Amazon Warriors.
