The Dolphins and the Warriors will share the One-Day Cup after a day of rain prevented any play at Kingsmead.
Saturday was the reserve day, after Friday had been curtailed after 39 overs of the Dolphins innings, when they were struggling at 154-6.
Rain, regrettably, has played a large part in both the white-ball tournaments. The Dolphins went through to the final of the Ram Slam T20 when rain prevented any play in their semi-final against the Cobras, being favoured on account of finishing higher on the log, only to be ruthlessly beaten by the Titans.
In this tournament, the Dolphins ended third, and the Warriors fourth. Both earned their place in the final by beating their more fancied opponents: the Warriors were particularly impressive in beating the seemingly unstoppable Titans with a dynamic display of power batting while the Dolphins were more clinical in suffocating the Cobras with spin.
On a strength vs strength measure, the Titans remained superior, having won seven of their 10 matches which, with bonus points, gave them a two-point lead over the Cobras, who ended with seven wins and 31 points.
