Keegan Petersen and David Miller steered the KwaZulu-Natal Dolphins to a seven-wicket victory against the North West Dragons at St George’s Park on Friday.
The Dragons posted 135-8 in their 20 overs having been 99-2 at one stage.
Captain Nicky van den Bergh (52 off 37 balls) and Dwaine Pretorius (39 off 34) were involved in a 72-run partnership, but no batsman after them reached double figures.
Eathan Bosch was the Dolphins’ best bowler, taking 3-20, while Ottniel Baartman picked up 2-12.
Petersen set the tone for the run chase by scoring 43 off 36 balls, with Miller (35* off 26) and Khaya Zondo (19* off 16) at the crease when the target was reached with eight balls remaining.
The win takes the Dolphins to fourth on the log after five rounds, with the Dragons dropping to fifth.
