The Proteas have made the most of their three-day warm-up match against a New Zealand XI in Lincoln.
The tourists declared their first innings closed on 339-5, with captain Neil Brand (46), Raynard van Tonder (54), Zubayr Hamza (30), Keegan Petersen (37), Khaya Zondo (42) and Ruan de Swardt (53) all spending valuable time at the crease before retiring not out.
Only David Bedingham, who was run out for four, missed out.
The Proteas then bowled the hosts out for 294 on day two. Dane Paterson took 4-34, while Brand picked up two wickets, and Duanne Olivier, Dane Piedt, De Swardt and Mihlali Mpongwana one each.
