Former Proteas batsman AB de Villiers will play in the 2019 Pakistan Super League.
De Villiers retired from international cricket earlier this year, ending a prolific 14-year career that yielded more than 20,000 runs across 228 ODIs, 114 Tests and 78 T20Is.
He has enjoyed stints with the Delhi Daredevils and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League and Barbados Tridents in the Caribbean Premier League. He, however, has never participated in the Pakistan Super League.
‘The Pakistan Super League has grown into one of the top T20 tournaments around the world,’ said de Villiers.
‘In 2019 I will be participating in the PSL. I certainly can’t wait.’

Which franchise – Peshawar Zalmi, Multan Sultans, Karachi Kings, Quetta Gladiators, Lahore Qalandars 0r Islamabad United – the hard-hitting right-hander will play for remains in the balance.
Earlier this week, Royal Challengers Bangalore chairman Sanjeev Churiwala confirmed the services of the 34-year-old for the 2019 IPL.
‘De Villiers will be available for RCB. We have stated our intentions on this matter in the past as well,’ said Churiwala.
