Quinton de Kock has regained his place in the Proteas XI for Saturday’s T20 World Cup match against Sri Lanka.
The 28-year-old withdrew from the team that beat the West Indies on Tuesday following Cricket SA’s directive that all SA players must take the knee in support of the Black Lives Matter movement before the start of their remaining matches at the tournament.
In a statement on Wednesday, De Kock apologised and said he would take the knee if selected again.
De Kock comes in for Heinrich Klaasen, with Reeza Hendricks – who opened the batting against the West Indies in De Kock’s absence – moving to No 3.
Sri Lanka’s team is unchanged from the one that lost to Australia.
