Quinton de Kock contributed 15 to his side’s 155-4, while Imran Tahir took his season tally to 17 wickets as the Mumbai Indians beat the Chennai Super Kings by 46 runs.
De Kock has had a rollercoaster IPL season for the Mumbai Indians – performing in the one game and then dipping the next. Nonetheless, his campaign thus far can still be read as relatively successful.
The Proteas wicketkeeper-batsman has three half-centuries at an average of 135.72, and has played his part in MI’s position on the table (third).
Imran Tahir, in contrast with his countryman, has been a talisman for CSK. Sitting second on the wickets tally, Tahir added one more name to his list to take his total to 17.

It was another steady day at the office for Tahir, who finished with 1-37 and helped restrict the Mumbai Indians to 154-4.
The Chennai Super Kings chased down their target with ease without Proteas captain Faf du Plessis in the side.
It was a ruthless bowling performance from Lasith Malinga (4-37) that inspired the MI’s victory. This pushed them two points behind CSK, who occupy the top spot.
