Hobart Hurricanes all-rounder D’Arcy Short pulled off an astonishing rolling run-out to dismiss Sydney Sixers’ captain Moises Henriques … this cracking piece of fielding gets the nod for today’s Play of the Day.
Short was instrumental in the Hurricanes five-wicket win over the Sixers, with blistering performances with the bat and on the field.
It all started off with a sensational run-out of the Sixers captain Henriques in the first innings as Short collected a low ball from wicketkeeper Matthew Wade just in front of the stumps. He threw it underarm at the stumps while off-balance, finishing off the move with a flourish as he rolled back on to his feet.

He then added 64 off 42 balls – including five fours and three towering sixes – in the second innings to earn himself the Man of the Match award. His brilliance helped his team over the line and secured a fifth win in five matches to keep the men from Hobart at the top of the league table.
