Proteas Women speedster Shabnim Ismail is excited about taking on the New Zealand Women in a crunch match that the Proteas must win to have a chance of making it into the final of the tri-nation T20 women’s series in England.
Ismail, who told SA Cricket magazine that she loves bowling in England, is looking forward to Thursday’s match, adding that ‘it’s always nice to go into a big match with confidence and with the momentum behind you’.
The Proteas are returning to Bristol, the scene of their 2017 ICC Women’s World Cup semi-final defeat by England, and Ismail and her teammates are eyeing a couple of quick, early wickets as they hope to wrest the advantage away from a powerful New Zealand Women’s batting lineup.
