CSA’s Coaches Conference and Workshop will take place in Pretoria this week.
This year’s conference is divided into two segments: domestic women’s league coaches (24-25 July) and domestic men’s coaches (28-29 July).
Both groups will also participate in the DEI Indaba from 26-28 July.
According to CSA, the conference aims to address the core elements necessary for South African cricket to remain sustainable and develop a thriving talent pipeline.
Key discussions will include the structure of the professional cricket system, how it compares to international standards, and the resources and empowerment of affiliates.
“Hosting this year’s conference is crucial for Division 1, Division 2, and national team coaches as we aim to solidify the brand and philosophy of South African cricket, which significantly influences how stakeholders perceive the game,” said CSA director of cricket Enoch Nkwe.
“It is essential for CSA to hear from the coaches, especially after the first season of professionalising the domestic women’s structure. We anticipate valuable insights from the coaches about the evolving cricket landscape and their commitment to working collaboratively to enhance our domestic product.
“We look forward to ongoing engagement with all stakeholders and providing platforms for constructive discussions that will advance the game.”
