CSA has reported a loss of R119-million for the 2022-23 financial year.
This follows a R198-million loss in 2021-22 and a loss of R221-million in 2020-21.
According to City Press newspaper, CSA chief financial officer Tjaart van der Walt said CSA’s latest loss had been minimised by its investment in Africa Cricket Development, the company that runs the SA20 league, and the hosting of two ICC World Cup events.
Van der Walt said the outlook for the next financial year is positive, with the tour of India in December and January set to generate almost R250-million for CSA from broadcast revenue.
CSA will also receive just under R500-million per year from the ICC over the next four years.
