The Coastal Conquerors ended the Southern Superstars’ unbeaten run at the Coetzenburg Oval with a convincing seven-wicket victory.
The Conquerors’ Chad Laycock (78*) and Banele Cele (47*) shared an unbeaten 116-run partnership for the fourth wicket to see their team home. The Conquerors moved to the top of the log with this victory.
The Superstars could only manage 164 in reply with Tyler Williams (46*), Jesse Prodehl (46) and Maahir Joseph (32) making the biggest contributions. Thabiso Ndlela took 4-27 for the Conquerors.
The Eastern Warriors claimed a convincing 169-run victory over the Western Legends on Maties’ C-field. The Warriors’ Cameron Williams (95) and Ben van der Merwe (72) produced an opening partnership of 158.
The Legends’ JP King continued his good form this week. He was his side’s best bowler bagging 4-35 before top-scoring with 42 with the bat.
Akhona Ratyana picked up 4-27 as the Legends fell well short, posting just 155.
The Northern Champions steamrolled past the Central Gladiators by eight wickets.
The latter were bundled out for 87 with Amaan Khan (4-13) and Arnaud du Plessis (3-36) causing most of the damage
