Shukri Conrad and Rob Walter are set to be unveiled as the Proteas’ new head coaches.
CSA will have split roles for the Test and limited-overs teams, with Conrad likely to coach the former and Walter the latter.
The other candidates for the positions were Proteas interim coach Malibongwe Maketa, former Proteas assistant coach Adrian Birrell and former West Indies director of cricket Richard Pybus.
The favourite to coach the limited-overs teams, Lance Klusener, withdrew his application on Monday.
