Roelof van der Merwe took 6-20 as the Sunrisers Eastern Cape thrashed Durban’s Super Giants by 124 runs at St George’s Park.
It was a near-perfect performance from the Sunrisers on Sunday.
The hosts’ batsmen all fired as they posted a mammoth 210-2.
Adam Rossington scored 72 off 30 balls (10 fours, four sixes) before being run out while attempting a second run off a free hit after he and Jordan Hermann (59 off 44) had put on 101 for the first wicket in 8.2 overs.
Aiden Markram (44* off 34) and Tristan Stubbs (27* off 13) continued the good work and finished the innings with a flourish.

Van der Merwe then ripped through the batting lineup of the Super Giants, who were bowled out for 86 in 14.4 overs.
Coach Lance Klusener had adjusted the batting lineup to give Matthew Breetzke an SA20 debut while moving captain Quinton de Kock to No 5.
The change in tactics did not prove successful with only Wiaan Mulder (29) and Keshav Maharaj (12) getting into double figures.
