The Boland Rocks beat the KZN Dolphins by seven wickets in a rain-affected T20 Challenge match in Potchefstroom on Saturday.
Opener Grant Roelofsen made 66 off 48 balls as the Dolphins posted 136-7 in their 20 overs.
Seamer Bamanye Xenxe dismissed the top-three KZN batsmen to finish with figures of 3-21 in his four overs. Shaun von Berg (2-27) picked up the next two wickets and Ferisco Adams (2-29) the last two.
The Rocks were 59-3 when rain stopped play. A revised target of 87 in 12 overs meant they needed another 28 off 21 balls, and the experienced Farhaan Behardien (24* off 18 balls) and Leus du Plooy (18* off 25) got them over the line with four deliveries to spare.
Eathan Bosch (2-17) was the Dolphins’ best bowler, dismissing dangerman Janneman Malan for a second-ball duck and Valentine Kitime for 11.
