Curtis Campher and Joshua Richards helped Gauteng claim a nine-wicket win against Border in the final Coke Week clash at the Wanderers.
Gauteng dominated the competition to remain unbeaten throughout the week.
Campher, who was named day three’s Hero of the Day for his match-winning 48 not out, put in another heroic stint to claim the Man of the Match award and set up a victory for his side.
Border were demolished by Gauteng and failed to complete their 50 overs, skittled for under 200 with seven overs in hand.
Sinethemba Qeshile, after winning Hero of the Day on Wednesday for his century, scored 59 to camouflage his side’s terrible batting display, hitting three fours and two sixes.
The wicket-keeper batsman was aided by a cameo 38 from Luke Dallas, but he was dismissed by Luzandre Mora before Queshile became Campher’s fourth victim.
Campher ended with figures of 6-20 as the visitors were all out for 193.
Chasing 194 Joshua Richards upped his game to better his 57 against Boland, with a century against Border. Despite losing Matthew Erasmus shortly after passing the 50-run mark, Richards built a partnership with Jacob Miltz (61) which won the game for Gauteng.
The pair strung together a 141-run second-wicket partnership to claim a dominant nine-wicket win.
