SA U19 opener Matthew Breetzke has been added to the SA Invitation XI to replace the injured Lwandiswa Zuma.
Zuma was forced to withdraw from the South Africa Invitation XI who will play Bangladesh in a three-day tour match at Willowmoore from 21-23 September.
Breetzke is currently playing for the Warriors in pre-season matches against the Cape Cobras at Oudtshoorn.
‘This is a good opportunity and a wonderful experience for a player who is currently part of our under-19 programme,’ commented CSA National Selection Panel convener Linda Zondi.
The 18-year-old has been in formidable form, scoring 300 runs in SA U19’s ODI series against the West Indies, scoring at an average of 60, which included two centuries and a half-century in the 3-2 defeat.
Revised SA Invitation XI squad: Aiden Markram (Titans, capt), Tladi Bokako (Warriors), Matthew Breetzke (Warriors), Okuhle Cele (KZN), Matthew Christensen (EP), Michael Cohen (WP), Isaac Dikgale (North West), Zubayr Hamsa (WSB Cape Cobras), Heinrich Klaasen (Titans), Migael Pretorius (Northerns), Yaseen Valli (Gauteng), Shaun von Berg (Titans).
