New Zealand are the new top-ranked ODI team in the world after dethroning world champions England in the annual ICC team rankings update.
The Black Caps climbed two ranking spots, having defeated Bangladesh 3-0 in their only ODI series of the year so far.
They gained three rating points to reach an aggregate of 121, three points ahead of Australia, who occupy second spot in the ODI rankings.

England, though, have slipped down to fourth in the second rankings update since their famous victory over New Zealand in the 2019 World Cup final.
Eoin Morgan’s men have, however, consolidated their position as the No 1-ranked T20I team in the world, despite also losing their series against India recently.
Recent ODI series defeats by India and Australia have halted their dominance in the ODI format, while India moved up to third.
The Proteas remain in fifth position, despite suffering a 2-1 series defeat by Pakistan on home soil last month.
There were also no changes for Babar Azam’s charges, who remain in sixth and fourth spot, respectively, in the ODI and T20I rankings.
