The Proteas Women have welcomed back three key players for the three-match ODI series against Bangladesh.
The series forms part of the 2022-25 Women’s Championship qualification campaign for the 2025 Women’s World Cup in India.
Laura Wolvaardt will lead a Proteas squad that welcomes back fast bowler Ayabonga Khaka and all-rounders Marizanne Kapp and Nadine de Klerk, who missed the T20I series due to rest and injury, respectively.
There’s also a maiden ODI call-up for the versatile Eliz-Mari Marx, with the 20-year-old hoping to add to her three T20I appearances for the national team after making her debut in the shared series against Bangladesh.
Chloe Tryon, who was ruled out of the T20I series due to a groin injury, remains unavailable for selection as she continues her rehabilitation.
The first ODI gets underway at Buffalo Park in East London on Saturday at 2pm.
