Former Proteas bowling coach Vincent Barnes has praised Marco Jansen for his performance against India at the Wanderers on Monday.
The 21-year-old left-arm seamer took 4-31 as the Proteas bowled India out for 202 on day one of the second Test.

It followed Jansen’s impressive Test debut in Centurion last week when he took 4-55 in India’s second innings.
“Well bowled, Marco,” Barnes tweeted on Monday. “Loads of concerns/question marks around your inclusion in the 1st Test. Those who know, know.
“He’s got a big future ahead of him,” added Barnes, a former fast bowler who was denied the chance to play for his country by apartheid. “He’s been outstanding for the Warriors, National Academy and recently for the SA A team.”
When asked where Barnes ranked Jansen out of the youngsters he’d seen, Barnes said: “That’s very difficult as I’ve seen so many exciting fast bowlers come through the system.
“I will say this, sometimes when you see a young fast bowler for the first time and immediately you think to yourself, he’s special. Marco is special.”
