SA U19 star Dewald Brevis has been bought by the Mumbai Indians in the IPL auction.
Mumbai paid 3 Indian crore for the 18-year-old, which is just over R6 million.
Brevis recently broke the record for the most runs scored in a single U19 World Cup tournament, scoring 506 in six innings at an average of 84.33. He made two hundreds and three fifties (two of which were nineties).
Brevis has drawn comparisons with AB de Villiers, having clearly modelled his batting style on the Proteas great.
On Saturday, he made his debut for the Titans against the Knights in the T20 Challenge.
