Aaron Finch struck an unbeaten 79 as Australia beat New Zealand by 50 runs in the fourth T20I in Wellington on Friday.
The victory means the series will head into a deciding fifth and final encounter on Sunday with Australia crawling their back with consecutive wins.
Batting first, Finch’s knock inspired the visitors to 156-6 in their 20 overs with Ish Sodhi the pick of the bowlers for the Black Caps, claiming 3-32 in his spell.
Ashton Agar, Kane Richardson, Adam Zampa and Glenn Maxwell then starred with the ball to run through the New Zealand batting lineup.
The hosts struggled to get going with the bat as regular wickets fell throughout their innings. Kyle Jamieson fought valiantly with 30 off 18 down the order but it wasn’t enough as New Zealand were bowled out for 106.
