Opener Matthew Wade struck 80 off 53 deliveries as Australia claimed a 12-run victory in the final T20I against India on Tuesday.
With the series already sealed for the visitors, the Australians were looking to bounce back following three consecutive limited-overs defeats by India on this tour.
Batting first in Sydney, Wade made a strong start with the bat after captain Aaron Finch was dismissed for a duck early on in the game.

Steve Smith contributed only 24 runs before Glen Maxwell continued his excellent form with the bat by blasting his way to a 36-ball 54 down the order.
Wade top-scored for the home side in an innings that included seven fours and two sixes as Australia posted 186-5 in their 20 overs.
The Indian run chase got off to a horrible start when KL Rahul was sent packing by Maxwell in only the second ball of their innings.
Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli consolidated and shared a 74-run stand before the former departed for 28.
Captain Kohli, however, kicked on and despite losing Sanju Samson and Shreyas Iyer in quick succession, he battled bravely to a half-century of his own.
Kohli would eventually depart in the penultimate over for a brilliant 85 as the Australian bowlers restricted India to 174-7 in their 20 overs.
