Australia skipper Aaron Finch has won the toss and elected to bat first in the second ODI against South Africa at the Manguang Oval in Bloemfontein on Wednesday, writes ANDRE HUISAMEN.

The Proteas were dealt a massive blow prior to the start of play when Temba Bavuma was withdrawn from the squad for the remainder of the series as a precaution, while he continues to recover from a hamstring injury.

Rassie van der Dussen has been added to squad as cover for Bavuma, while Jon-Jon Smuts replaces him in the starting XI.

The Proteas comprehensively beat Australia by 74 runs on Saturday after a brilliant maiden ODI century by Heinrich Klaasen steered them to victory in Paarl.

Ashton Agar, who missed the opening encounter in Paarl, returns to the Aussie set-up for Wednesday’s clash as Josh Hazelwood makes way.

A win in Bloemfontein will give the South Africans a much-needed series victory with the final ODI set to be played at Senwes Park in Potchefstroom this coming Saturday.
