A warrant of arrest has been issued for former Proteas cricketer, Thami Tsolekile, after he failed to appear in the Goodwood Magistrate’s court on Wednesday.
According to EWN, the former wicket-keeper was due to appear before the court to answer allegations that he assaulted a 14-year-old boy in Pinelands in September.
After being arrested on 8 October, Tsolekile has already appeared in court regarding the assault charge, which he denied.
Additionally, Tsolekile is serving a 12-year ban after he was found guilty in July of trying to manipulate the results of matches during the 2015 T20 Challenge series.
