Aiden Markram has been called up to the Proteas ODI squad to replace Hashim Amla for the third ODI at Buffalo Park.
Amla has been rested after the Proteas crushed the Tigers by 104 runs in the second ODI to claim the series by going 2-0 up in the three-match series.
The 34-year-old opener has been in fine form in both the Test and ODI series against Bangladesh, scoring consecutive centuries in the two-match Test series and a ton, followed by 85 in the first two ODIs.
Twenty-three-year-old Markram will be the one to replace Amla for his maiden ODI call-up, following a successful Test debut, which saw him score 97 on debut and a maiden century in the second Test as South Africa claimed a dominant series win.
Markram has proved himself in limited overs for the Titans and scored 503 runs in nine matches in last seasons’ One Day Cup at an average of 56.44. More recently, the ex-SA U19 World Cup-winning captain hit 82 for CSA XI in their warm-up 50-over match against Bangladesh.
