Cape Cobras coach Paul Adams will not be able to pick any of his Proteas players for the One-Day Cup final against the Lions at Newlands on Sunday.
The likes of JP Duminy and Hashim Amla will be rested ahead of a T20 series against Australia followed by the World T20, while Dale Steyn is making his comeback on for Western Province Cricket Club on Saturday to ensure he is ready to face the Aussies.
Adams will, however, be able to call on three players who recently returned from playing in the Masters Champions League – Richard Levi, Robin Peterson and Rory Kleinveldt.
The Cobras were comfortably the best team in the competition and it will be interesting to see if Adams backs some of the players who has helped to get them in the final rather than some of the more experienced campaigners at his disposal.
