South Africa’s star batsman AB de Villiers has decided to postpone the release of his highly anticipated autobiography.
The book was originally slated for a November 2015 release by publishers Pan MacMillan, but they announced on Tuesday that the release will be pushed back to next year, reports Netwerk24.
Apparently De Villiers wants more time to ensure a proper, special book is released instead of a ‘rush job’.
The book will be written in conjunction with Edward Griffiths and will include stories about De Villiers’ childhood and his career for South Africa, which has spanned more than a decade.
The decision to push back the release date was a joint decision. According to the publishers, De Villiers is only planning for one book to be released about his career and therefore he wants it to be a book of substance which everyone will enjoy.
