Eathan Bosch, the son of the late Proteas bowling legend Tertius Bosch, is targeting the wicket of superstar AB de Villiers during his spell with the Paarl Rocks.
The beauty of T20 tournaments is that they offer promising young cricketers the chance to make a name for themselves by rising to the challenge of competing against some of the best players in the world under the world spotlight and in pressure situations.
Young Dolphins paceman Eathan Bosch has been performing well in franchise cricket, but he is eager to step up to the challenge of taking on the big guys in the Mzansi Super League.
The 20-year-old has an economy rate of 8.75 in T20s and is keen to grow as a cricketer and learn from the older players in the Paarl Rocks team and, in his words, ‘to be a sponge’.
When asked if there was a big wicket he would love to snare he had no hesitation in singling out AB de Villiers.
‘I think for anyone it would be AB de Villiers. I watched him growing up and he’s an unbelievable player and has had an awesome career and so I think for me that would be the one guy I would love to get out,’ laughed the young Dolphins paceman.
