Hashim Amla will miss the Cobras’ CSA T20 clash against the Knights on Monday and has flown back to Durban to be with his ill father.
The Cobras confirmed on Monday morning that Amla has not made the trip to Bloemfontein for the clash against the Knights. Ferisco Adams comes into the squad to replace the 36-year-old.

Earlier this year, Amla was left out of both squads named for the three T20Is against Sri Lanka, as well as the last two ODIs — SA’s last international matches before they meet Sri Lanka in a World Cup warm-up game in Cardiff on 24 May.
Proteas team manager Dr Mohammed Moosajee explained Amla’s absence back in March: ‘Hashim has asked to be excused from the last two ODIs of the current series against Sri Lanka on compassionate grounds since his father is critically ill.
‘Our thoughts and prayers are with Amla and his family during this difficult time and we understand that family obligations always come first.’
