Ayabonga Khaka became the fourth Proteas Women bowler in the top 10 ICC rankings after her dominant performance against Bangladesh.
The Proteas seamer ended second in the wicket-taking stakes against Bangladesh with seven wickets from four matches, where she also took career-best bowling figures in the third ODI with 3-13.
This helped the Proteas complete a 5-0 whitewash.
Khaka sits in eighth spot along with Marizanne Kapp (third), Shabnim Ismail (sixth) and Dane van Niekerk (ninth). Raisibe Ntozakhe, who topped the wicket-takers’ chart with eight wickets jumped 31 places from 85th to 54th among bowlers.
Proteas skipper Van Niekerk moved to third in the all-rounder’s list. She contributed with four wickets and 73 runs in the series.
Vice-captain Chloe Tryon had two Player of the Match performances in the series. She rose four places to 22nd among batters, up 14 to 67th among bowlers, and up 14 to be 21st among all-rounders.
