Proteas speedster Kagiso Rabada is once again the world’s best Test bowler, according to the latest ICC rankings.
The 22-year-old picked up 11 wickets as South Africa beat Australia by six wickets in the second Test at St George’s Park in Port Elizabeth, putting him at the summit of the rankings for the second time in his fledgling career. England’s James Anderson drops down to second place.
Unfortunately, Rabada won’t be able to build on his lead after he was banned for the remainder of the series due to on-field disciplinary issues.
In the batting rankings, AB de Villiers’ unbeaten knock of 126 saw him move up to No 7, while Hashim Amla moved up one place to No 9. Lungi Ngidi’s five wickets from the second Test saw him move up 12 places to No 37 among the bowlers.
