Virat Kohli’s knock of 85 not out on day two at Centurion is our Play of the Day.
The day belonged to South Africa. The hosts scrapped well in the first session to post a competitive total of 350. The bowlers worked hard to contain most of the India batsmen thereafter, and claim five wickets on a pitch offering little to no assistance.
Kohli refused to be contained, though. The India captain arrived at the crease with the score on 28-2. After taking a couple of overs to settle, he smashed Morne Morkel for back-to-back boundaries on the off-side.

Murali Vijay provided some support before he was dismissed by Keshav Maharaj. Thereafter, Kohli took it upon himself to do the bulk of the run-scoring.
Kohli finished the day on 85 off 130 balls. He will have the opportunity to surpass the 100-mark, and notch up his 21st Test century, when he returns to the crease on day three.
