South Africa A had yet another day of their England tour affected by rain on day one of their four-day clash with Hampshire on Thursday.
The washed-out day comes after the side had two 50-over warm-up matches and their final ODI against the England Lions all curtailed due to rain.
A total of 13 overs were possible after Hampshire won the toss and opted to field. Captain Aiden Markram had to depart for just three, while Theunis de Bruyn scored only six.
South Africa A will begin day two on 18-2, with Heino Kuhn (9*) and Rudi Second (0*) in the middle.
SA A are playing two warm-up matches before facing hosts the England Lions in a one-off, four-day game.
