An elated fan won a stake of a R1-million during Sunday’s Ram Slam T20 Challenge in Potchefstroom.
This year the sponsors of the Ram Slam T20 Challenge decided to award one R1m to anyone over 18  who catches a six with one hand during a televised match.

That is what Bosman Puren from Potchefstroom managed to achieve during the match between the Knights and the Highveld Lions, as he caught the ball off Pite van Biljon of the Knights. ‘The Ram Slam is a brilliant experience. I’m fortunate to have caught that one. I’m still flabbergasted. Thank you!’ said 35-year-old self-employed Puren.

If other fans are able to achieve the same at any of the other televised games, the R1m will be split equally. But, if that doesn’t happen, Puren will be a million rand richer!

    This week’s upcoming matches include:

Wednesday, Boland Park, Paarl:  Cape Cobras vs Chevrolet Knights (televised)

Friday, Chevrolet Park, Bloemfontein: Knights vsTitans (non-televised)
St George’s, Port Elizabeth: Warriors vs  Dolphins (non-televised)
Bidvest Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg:  Highveld Lions vs Cape Cobras (televised)

Sunday, Kingsmead, Durban: Triple Header (televised).

    PROTEAS TO TAKE ON SPRINGBOKS

The Proteas and the Springboks will go head to head in the Nelson Mandela Legacy Cup T20 match at the Wanderers on 5 December.

‘We all remember the excitement at last year’s match between the Proteas and Springboks in Cape Town when a sell-out crowd enjoyed the rivalry between these two national teams,’ said CSA chief executive, Haroon Lorgat.

Tickets for the match go on sale on Tuesday, 11 November. Tickets are available from www.ticketpros.co.za  and will range from R90-R200.
