Pranav Dhanawade, who scored 1 009 not out for his side KC Gandhi in June 2016, was arrested in Mumbai in December.

The 16-year-old was apprehended for protesting against the conversion of his cricket ground into a helipad.

The landing strip for helicopters was built in order to accommodate the BJP minister Prakash Javadekar’s visit to Mumbai.

Before staging the protest, Pranav also requested the authorities to shift the location of the helipad to some neighbouring area where it would not affect their playing space.

After his failed attempt, Dhanawade decided to solve the matter on his own. He was subsequently beaten up and placed behind bars. His parents were also arrested for supporting him.
