The Cape Cobras have turned to Wayne Parnell as they attempt to break their losing streak in their T20 Challenge clash against the Warriors.
After being named in the Test squad to tour Australia, the 27-year-old was forced to pull out due to a rib injury and will now join the Cobras after some time on the sidelines.
The Proteas left-hand bowler is likely to open the innings with either Richard Levi or Cebo Tshiki as they try to turn around a winless campaign.
Parnell smashed 237 runs in the T20 Challenge last season and backed up his batting with the ball, taking eight wickets with 4-20 against the Dolphins being his best match-haul.
With Parnell moving into the top order, Jason Smith will bat at three with Kieron Pollard slotting in at No 4.
The Cobras will hope that the experience of Parnell, Pollard, Richard Levi, Justin Ontong, Rory Kleinveldt and Dane Paterson can inspire some positive results.
