Lions all-rounder Dwaine Pretorius has been called up the Test squad as a replacement for the injured Dale Steyn.

Pretorius, uncapped at Test level but with three ODI caps to his name, has enjoyed an excellent Sunfoil Series campaign so far with eight wickets at an average of 35.12 and 364 runs at 72.80 from just three matches.

Steyn was ruled out of the series on day two of the first Test in Perth and is already back home to heal his shoulder fracture.

Pretorius will provide all-round cover to the side as the second Test gets underway in Hobart on Saturday, but he’s unlikely to feature with Morne Morkel and Kyle Abbott ahead of him in the pecking order.
