Kieron Pollard earns Play of the Day plaudits for smashing three sixes in his first five deliveries on Friday night.

With the Windies in a precarious position in their Tri-nations series opener against the Proteas in Guyana, Pollard ignored the situation and muscled a six over long on with just his second delivery. It was the first six of the whole match.

He wasn’t done there. It was as if he was still playing in the IPL, and perhaps some of the players fresh from playing in India should have taken note. He clubbed two more sixes in the next Aaron Phangiso over. He struck six sixes in all, and was the only player to clear the fence at all.
