The Knights have appointed former Proteas spinner Nicky Boje as their new head coach for the next two seasons.

Boje served as interim coach after Sarel Cilliers suddenly resigned last year. Former South African bowling coach Allan Donald stood in for Boje after the latter was allowed to play in the Masters Champions League in Dubai.

He also took part in the Mumbai Marathon.

Donald and former Cape Cobras coach Shukri Conrad also applied for the job, but both pulled out, reports Netwerk24.
